Yakov

Currently a graduate student in the field of psychology in education at Columbia Teachers College, Yakov has been an academic tutor for six years. He graduated cum laude from UCLA, with a bachelor of arts in psychology (specializing in child and adolescent development and learning) and minors in English and film, television, and digital media. Yakov has worked with students ranging from early elementary to late high school age, and has experience accommodating all learning levels, including various special needs. His approach emphasizes skills including time and homework management, study and memory retention strategies, and success-oriented self-motivation.
